Android MP3 player feature request.

I'm looking for an Android MP3 player that has both swipe/gesture controls AND the ability to easily star rate songs. I have an iPod Touch right now, and while I have a great swipe app, there's no way for apps to change star ratings in the API. If you know of a good Android-compatible MP3 player for Windows too, that would be great.

Is it absolutely stars or just like/dislike that's acceptable?

Best answer: PlayerPro has star ratings.

I recently started using a Galaxy S4 after years of using an iPhone and iPod. I use PlayerPro to play music on my phone and iSyncr to sync with iTunes. I don't use star ratings for anything, but iSyncr does sync play counts and other data so I assume star ratings also get synced.

As for swipe and gesture controls I am not entirely sure what you mean, but if it isn't built into PlayerPro I am sure a third party app would help fill the gap.

Let us know what you end up using, and any other android music tips

Response by poster: I'm looking for stars, or more than just a like/dislike feature that will save metadata. I use each star rating for different things, so 1 means "broken/glitchy and needs to be fixed", 2 is "get more of this artist", 3 is "I haven't listened to this yet", 4 is "I really like this", and 5 is delete. I don't know of ANY program that will provide a list like that, so stars it is. :)

And by swipe controls I mean controlling track, volume, navigation, etc, by swiping the screen. So I swipe right, next track. Swipe two fingers right, skip forward. Swipe left, previous track. Etc.

Best answer: For star ratings, I use isyncr a pay app. I use star ratings for smart playlists on itunes, and isyncr will sync with itunes, including playcounts and star ratings. There's a rating widget that it provides.
