Portland Guitar Techs?

Seeking recommendations for a guitar tech in Portland, OR.

I was gifted a Guild (D4, early 90's, if you have to know) that could use some setup. I am not aware of any techs that I absolutely trust in Eugene, but since I am up the valley fairly often, I could bring the guitar along, if someone has a great tech to recommend.

I've been very happy with work done by the folks at Portland Fret Works on Alberta.

I haven't had anything worked on in a while, but my standby shop for setup and such was 12th Fret, on SE 24th and Belmont.

You could try Centaur Guitar. My friend Matt works there and he might be able to help you out.

I had my Seagull S6 setup at Tradeup Music on Alberta and a M1 pickup installed in it there as well.

Response by poster: Thank you all. I called 12th Fret and have an appt. for next Saturday. I made this decision based on the fact that my daughter lives very close to there.

But thanks for the other recommendations also!

Response by poster: Well guys, I took the guitar to 12th Fret, after setting this up during the week. I was going to leave it here late morning, and then pick it up by 5. Talked to the guy for awhile whilst dropping it off.

Got back at 4:30, handed in the ticket, and was told that they had forgotten about it, very sorry, but they could do it now, if I could wait. Well I had family in the car, it's raining all crap so waiting was not feasible. I just asked the the guitar back.

They apologized, but that is not worth a whole lot to me, right now.

I will have to redouble my efforts to find someone down the valley. . .

But yeah, 12th Fret. . .bummer.
