Any good info on the asbestos in tampons hoax?

Anyone know any good books or internet sites relating to the asbestos in tampons hoax?
I'm doing some research on it, but I can't find anything more than surface level info.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, check here for the basic idea.

Response by poster: Thanks for the quick help, scazza, but that's the same link I posted in my question. I appreciate the effort though.

Sorry, I guess I was thrown by the generalness of the question and "surface level info." I thought that site was pretty thorough. What specifically are you looking for then?

Response by poster: I agree, the problems with my question. First time posting here. What I'm looking for is really any other details, I guess. I'm using the hoax as part of a work of fiction, and so I'm trying to find any details I can on this particular hoax, and other similar ones.
Actually, that's an important part of the question I didn't post-- Are there other urban legends/hoaxes that are similar in scope? Other false reports of products purposely made more dangerous to increase usage?
More specifically, I'm especially looking for products used primarily by women.
Thanks again, scazza.

Carmex is addictive?
Here's a summary of some tampon legislation information if that helps, as well as the Museum of Menstruation's page on tampon safety.
