Do you know of any really good American-made mens slippers?
To follow up on that link, it appears that only some of LL Bean's line is made in the USA; the full set of sourcing information is available here.

Response by poster: I am a huge fan of my LL Bean moccasins as well, but I'm looking for new slippers for my father - he has been on a big "Made in America" kick recently, and I want to keep with that for his sake.

I don't believe any of LL Bean's slippers are still made in the US.
Townview Leather makes various types of moccasins (very similar to the LL Bean products) in Maine—they are very reasonably priced for US-made products and I have heard good things about the quality although I have not bought any myself. They have leather-lined and polyester-fleece-lined versions. If you want a shearling slipper, there are a number of small companies online that make these in the US; here's one.

Allen Edmonds makes slippers, but their website has pretty limited sizes.
Oh, wait, you should go with Townview, made in Maine. Actually, you could google up "moccasins made in Maine" and a lot of those small makers do slippers. I feel like I read a good review of Townview on some men's style blog or other, though.

I have a pair of Acorn slippers, based in Lewiston, Maine. Not only are they warm and comfy, but eco-friendly too. And astronauts wear their slipper socks. That's good enough for me!

The Acorn slippers I am wearing right now are nice, but they say made in China on the bottom.

Maybe these moccasins? Not strictly slippers (but call, they might make some!) but personally any lining makes my feet too hot.

Minnetonka slippers are made in the US and on par with L.L.Bean in terms of quality.

popculture - are you sure the Minnetonkas are made in the USA? What I see on their website doesn't report origin; Duluth Pack says they are made in the DR.

Minnetonkas are no longer made in the USA, unfortunately.
Here are some options:
Sundance Leather
Shepherd's Flock (bonus anti-teapartism!)
Leather Works (only certain models)
Footskins

There are some American-made leather slippers on etsy, for example these. I don't have any personal experience with them -- they're the first ones that came up when I looked -- so I can't speak to the quality.

I turned my over, and indeed, they say made in China. I was looking for a tag on the inside. So sorry, my bad! I got swayed by astronauts.

I own a pair of (women's) slippers from Sundance Leather (mentioned by drlith). They are great.
