Is there a trick to installing Minecraft Forge on a mac?
I have tried multiple times on two different mac laptops and they both have the same problem, they hang up on log in with a "Done loading" screen. I find this complaint on multiple forums but find no reasons or solutions.
I'm using a MacBook Pro with 10.6 and Minecraft 1.2.5 trying to install this. I've tried moving the files into the .jar using both the terminal and a zip extractor. I've replaced the original Minecraft file several times. It never works. Is there a tick to this?
I rent a server at Minecraftbox.com. Daughter really wants to play with mods, but I can't install the client for Forge/ModLoader on either of our computers so that we can use the Web interface system our server provider offers for managing mods. Advice? Using this version of the client software.
Thanks!
