Meebo messenger replacement: What's a good chat client that: 1) lets me save login info for multiple chat accounts, 2) allows me to message 'offline' (invisible) buddies, and 3) doesn't require a 'public profile' or facebook link?
The specificity of the requirements may indicate that I've had some trouble with the clients I've tried so far...
eBuddy doesn't let you message offline buddies, and most of my friends hang out in 'invisible' mode. (Also, it turns out I can't delete that account.)
imo.im wants me to create a 'public profile'. It'll let me un-link it from twitter/facebook/whatever, but doesn't seem to be willing to let me make it un-searchable/un-public.
iLoveIM doesn't seem to allow a single login for both accounts. My Google account is set up with two-factor authentication so if I can't save my login, it's too much hassle to generate a new one-time-password every time.
Suggestions welcomed - I'd love something web-based but even for downloadable clients, let me know what you like best.

Best answer: I think I've been using Trillian for maybe 10 years now? (thanks for forcing me to realize that) Obviously I think it works quite well.

I use Pidgin.IM for Yahoo, MSN and Google.. Meets all of your criteria and works pretty well.

Best answer: Another vote for Trillian. I've also been using it for around 10 years. I haven't tried using it on a mobile device yet, but for the computer, it's all I need.

I use Pidgin. It works pretty well, no problems. It does all of the above, and I frequently chat with invisible friends.

Digsby is downloadable, free, and fits the bill.

Came here to suggest Trillian even if I haven't used it in six years.

If you're on a Mac, Adium is good. On Android, IM+ Pro is good.

Nthing Pidgin. I've used it for years, and it'll handle just about anything you throw at it.

Response by poster: Thanks to everyone who suggested Trillian! I had only heard of it as a downloadable client but the Trillian web chat client is exactly what I wanted. Just in the nick of time!
