Got a norwalk juicer. Not here yet but tell me your favorite things to make with it, juices and otherwise.

Norwalk juicer is on the way and there doesn't seem to be much discussion about what to make besides juice. Obviously it'll primarily be a juicer but would love to get more functionality out of it. We have a baby on the way and would love recommendations for making baby food with it. Plan on making almond flour, fruit smoothies etc w/ it. What are you favorite things to make w/ it if you have one? If you don't have one but have thought about getting one what would you make if you did get one?

One thing to not make: We often grate zucchini and summer squash, squeeze (by hand) a little of the liquid out, and saute the results (with herbs and other veggies). I thought "Oooh, the Norwalk will take that liquid out easier than squeezing by hand!"

The results tasted like cardboard. The Norwalk squeezed out all the flavor in the liquid.

The one thing I want to do more of is use the juice for cooking: Gently simmer the carrots in carrot juice, for instance.

Response by poster: huh. good to know. I did hear that the press will really squeeze all the nutrients out of everything so that makes sense.

definitely like the carrot juice idea. tried making a moroccan carrot dip the other day but i found myself adding more and more oil to keep it moist. thanks!

I once had frozen Bananas put through the grinder section of a Norwalk. It was super good and very smooth.

2 apples, a pear, and about an inch piece of ginger. Oh so yummy! Also try an apple, an inch piece of ginger and about five medium size carrots.
