Do you recognize this monocled, non-Wain cat?

Do you recognize this cat illustration? It's a Victorian/Edwardian looking picture of a cat wearing a monocle, labeled "Masher". I don't think it's Louis Wain, though I think it may be Wain-inspired as he did some very similar images (right down to the "masher" title). Mug came from a now defunct Cafepress shop. There's a small, mostly illegible copyright mark on it that says "J. Meyer [something with 4 letters]" that may or may not be contemporaneous with the image.

Response by poster: Yep, found that handsome fellow and several others googling various combinations of cat + masher, but not the one from the mug.

If you found a lot of other at mashers, it could be that depicting cats as "mashers" (in the definition offered in Monkeytoes' second link) was just sort of a thing for a while, kind of like how Lolcats are today. It may be its own thing, rather than any well-known illustration.
