Link us together so we don't have to

Is there a script or service to automatically cross-link posts by different bloggers across different platforms besides Blog Carnival?
A writer's group I'm part of does monthly blog chains where we each post a list of people participating in the blogs, and then we all have to go back and code in links to entries as people add to the chain. If you're at the end of the chain and wait until the last minute to put the post together, this gets pretty onerous. Also, people earlier in the chain tend to forget to do the updates later in the month.
If you scroll to the bottom of this post, you can see an example of what I'm talking about. There are several bloggers also left off the chain, and it's unlikely that the writer will go back to update the remaining links.
I've looked at Blog Carnival, and it does seem to aggregate and update automatically (if I'm understanding it correctly.) But it does also require anyone who submits to register with Blog Carnival. Does anyone know of any alternative services where a blogger can just paste in some code on the entry and have the related links update automatically?
