Can you recommend a online forum where management strategy can be discussed? For example if I wanted to bounce ideas around appropriate project metrics? I know there are specific PM forums but I am wondering if there is a forum where managers sort of discuss their ideas etc. Something more general than a dedicated PM forum since my questions / discussions wont just relate to project management

If you're a member of LinkedIn, that's a great place to find fora for professional discussions. My old management strategy company has a forum for alumni which often discusses strategy concepts, and I belong to two fora for Knowledge Management which are lively and well-informed.

If you find something good online I'd be interested in knowing too! Most of the really meaningful management discussions of this sort I've had have been face to face or via conference call among people who had all previously met face to face. Largely this is because in most cases you need some expectation of privacy/discretion to get into really talking about a large portion of the substantial challenges of management.
