Where did I read this short story about an alien abduction?

I am looking for the title and author of a short story about an alien abduction. The abduction itself was a major plot twist-- the story was about a farmer, but very abruptly, the farmer is abducted.

That's waaaay too little info to go on. What else can you remember? I have to admit, the first thing that popped into my head was Stephen King in Creepshow, based on the comics (but I'm pretty sure he wasn't abducted. Hm. It was a long time since I've seen it though).
