How Many Men Have the Ability to Climax from Frenulum Stimulation?
September 9, 2011 3:49 PM

How common is it for a man to be able to reach an ejaculatory orgasm just by stimulating the frenulum of his penis?

A frenulum is that part of the underside of the penis where the glans and shaft meet. Some number of men are able to achieve orgasm and ejaculation by just stimulating that single spot with a vibrator (or finger, or someone's tongue ... you get the idea!).

Looking around the Web, that ability appears to be somewhere in the range between rare and ubiquitous. Does anybody have personal experience or ... hard data to share?

Well, I'm a woman, so I don't have personal experience.
I've been told by men, however, that it's a very sensitive spot. At least one has reported this ability you speak of.

YES!!! I have a rare and ubiquitous ability!!!.... Or probably not. It's the most sensitive place on the penis. I don't have any numbers, but I have the easiest to report anecdata of all: yes it works. It's not a particularly powerful way to orgasm and it usually takes longer than other methods with more contact and friction. And for more data people don't need or want: I am circumcised.

Does anybody have personal experience or ... hard data to share?

I see what you did there.

google vibratory ejaculation. 'Cause I don't want to.

I'm not going to do all the links because I am on a phone but......erection ejaculation and orgasm are entirely separate events. Most of the time they occur as a group. Most. In fact a frenulum technique is often recommended for men who cannot achieve erection. So unusual maybe. But physiological normal.

I don't know if you will get an exact figure, but I could tell you it is greater than zero.

Yeah, it can be done. For me it's extremely intense and can be difficult to uh, finish with just that method.

My guess is that most men are capable of it, but most men's bodies aren't "trained" to take that sort of stimulation all the way to orgasm. While the joke is that men are automatic orgasm machines (and this has come up on here before) that's far from the truth. Masturbation, oral, and vaginal stimulation are all very different, and even going from one partner to another might prevent an orgasm (or take longer, or be less intense) until the body has learned to receive the new stimulation.

Never tried a vibrator, but fingers and/or tongue on that spot will do the trick just fine. Sadly, I don't have anything more than my own experiences to share - I have no idea whether studies have been done on this or not - but I never thought it to be a rare or uncommon thing.

My guess is that most guys can do it, but don't because it teases out the process too long. It's pretty impossible to resist using your opposable thumb for the extra pressure it gives you.

Not sure how common, but... yes... it can happen.

Next question please.

Entirely possible. (Let's just say that as a youngster I spent a lot of time around pool jets.)

You probably won't get any figures, though. Even if many men are capable, I'll bet it's a relatively small number who are aware of their capability. The default method of stimulation is coitus or a reasonable hand-drawn facsimile, and, well, vibrating the frenulum is not that.

Speaking for myself, I'd have to take an educated guess of "almost all".

Mechanically, it doesn't quite work the same as (simulated) sex - I'd call a vibrator (or pool jet... Heh, never thought of that, Sys Rq) a must, if you wanted to go start-to-finish that way (though you could probably finish off a guy near the edge without one). But it doesn't take any longer than normal that way. Just different.

/ and at the risk of oversharing, it feels pretty damned good, if simply from the novelty of it.

To the extent that one can generalize from an anecdote, I'd say that it's possible, but mostly the answer would be "why?" It takes longer (like, forever longer except when you use a pool jet oh god why am I admitting this), isn't particularly more exciting than other kinds of stimulation, and the orgasm isn't any better. So other than as a fun interlude between other things, this isn't a huge part of my sex life.

I have no data, and of course every person is different. But my experience couldn't be more different than forktine's. With a powerful vibrator, it can be quite fast, and very intense. In other words, easily doable, and very worth it.
