Please give guidance on indoor/outdoor punching bag

I'm in Portland, OR.

I would like to install a punching bag under a very sturdy carport. Will stay dry in all but the most extreme weather.

Google searches on this have been futile. Mostly forum jocks who can't even agree if canvas or vinyl is more suitable.

Any tips on type, brand, model, mounting hardware, etc would be much appreciated.

Heavy bag or speed bag? If a heavy bag, are you looking for a hanging or freestanding model?
