Time for tinto de verano and rebujito: what's the closest equivalent to Spanish gaseosa that's commonly available in US supermarkets?
Response by poster: I think Sierra Mist Natural would be a more "authentic" substitute because it's got real sugar rather than HFCS.
La Casera actually has artificial sweeteners: saccharin and the (FDA-banned) sodium cyclamate.

I had a German friend recommend Squirt for a similar cocktail that they make in Germany. Note - please search for Squirt soda and not just for Squirt. You'll thank me for it
