Marrying Flash and Google Earth

How can I create a video using Flash that incorporates zooming around in Google Earth?
I've taken over a project that was started by a former employee. I'm trying to build a video that will eventually end up on YouTube. So far, it's being built in flash cs4. The first half is mostly text that flies or fades up onto the screen, along with some animated graphs. But the second half of the video is supposed to show a map that flies from one place to another, with custom labels fading in and out on various locations.
I know how to do the first half. But I can't figure out how to record a "journey" via google earth that I can then convert to FLV or whatever, that I can then add labels to. I've used Fraps to record the flying around, but it creates an avi file, which appears to be pretty incompatible with flash.
So is this possible? Is there a better solution? Should I scrap Flash altogether? I have Adobe CS4, but no other video editing software other than imovie. Would Final Cut work in this case? Hope me.
