How to create Quicktime or AVI of Google Earth flythrough?

I've tried doing a screen capture using Camtasia Studio but even on my Windows PC with an excellent video card, plenty of RAM, and a peppy CPU the frame rate of the flythrough is still choppy.

Is there a better tool or method for capturing a digital video of a Google Earth flythrough?

To clarify, the framerate of the captured flythrough is choppy. The onscreen flythrough in Google Earth is smooth as silk.

If you have access to a Mac, try SnapzPro for uncompressed video capture.

You could try Google Earth Pro, the pay-for $400 version that has video export built-in.
