Switching to windows by title on Windows?

I want to switch to windows by title on Windows.

So, I'm a long-time Linux user who recently started working in a Windows environment. I use ion3 as my Linux window manager, and it has a very useful feature where I press Alt+G, type some text and hit return to cause it to switch to the window with the specified title if unique or display completions otherwise. So, when I want to go to the Chrome window, I usually just do Alt+G,chr, and it pops up.

I currently have 29 windows open on my Windows desktop and switching around in them via taskbar clicking or Alt/Win-Tab feels way too cumbersome, is there a better way to do this? For starting applications, any of the million Quicksilver clones out there seem to do it, but I haven't found one to do it for the management of already running programs so far.

Ideally, it should work on both Windows XP and Windows 7.

Switcher 2.0 might do the trick.

Best answer: iSwitchw is an AutoHotkey script which does this.

Response by poster: Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. I guess it was time that I finally got around to installing AHK after these many years.
