ChicagoFilter: What are some unusual, inexpensive Chicago events for New Year's Eve?

My former favorite event, Evanston's First Night, was canceled a year or two back and I haven't found anything to replace it. What are some good, inexpensive ($25 or less) things to do in Chicago over New Year's Eve?

Checkout Mucca Pazza at the Logan Square Auditorium. I've seen them in other venues, and they're always a good time. $25.

seconding mucca pazza. I'm going the fancy route this year, but they would be my 2nd (and more affordable) choice!
