What are the sights to see in good old San Anton'?

In San Antonio for a couple of nights, and want to see the sights, eat, and drink good beer. Where to go for these fine exploits?
In San Antonio until Saturday morning, and want to get out and see the world beyond my little corner of the 410 loop. I'm going to the Alamo tonight, and heading to the Riverwalk on Friday, but anything else that I must see, do, eat, or drink? I like good food, and I like great beer. Bonus if someone from around here wants to set up a mini-last-minute-meetup.

Amazingly, surprisingly, SA has two great art collections, SAMoA (San Antonio Museum of Art) and The Mc Nay collection. The McNey is housed in a great old estate, really nice, and SAMoA is housed in an old Lone Star beer distillery, and is major cool. The SAMoA has an amazing collection, lots of Central American art, a great antiquities collection, enough contemporary art to keep your eyes spinning and your heart singing, enough impressionism to make you feel peace, and on and on and on; don't miss the statuary room, high ceilings, beautiful light, deep silences. They have a nice bust of Marcus Aurelius, one of my heroes, sometimes I'll sit there in front of it in that quiet, think of the things he's written, and how he lived - fun.
If you are interested in very high quality Tex Mex Health Food (!!!), check out Adelante Mexican restaurant. Stumbled upon it by accident on a visit to the museums there in SA (it's very close to the Mc Ney museum) and it is great; they use only high quality ingredients that the owners select (and often take a hand in cooking), it's clean, you leave there happy, knowing you've just eaten great Texas comfort food but not trashed your body by eating the greazy-sleazy junk that most Tex Mex joints put out there.
I stole the above out of a reply I made to a question someone asked about San Antone a couple years ago here on MetaFilter Ask; make sure to search MF with the sanantoino tag...

Freetail Brewing Co. had some pretty tasty drinks when I made my way down there for a Real Ale event.

The River Walk....its' right down near the Alamo, and when I was there, they had boats running up the river with live music, mardi-gras style beads, and fireworks....it was pretty sweet. We were there from sunset until well after dark. There's a good Mexican restaurant there on the 'shore' as well...something else to check out. :)
Then, there's also The Alamo to check out :)

If you have a way to travel way outside the loop, check out Hill's and Dale's for beer. I haven't been in years, but we used to go all the time when my folks lived near Sea World. It's definitely a low-key, no-frills drinkers' bar. I think they have something like 50 taps.

What part of Loop 410 are you staying on? I can give lots of suggestions but I don't want to have you driving 30 minutes to get to Flying Saucer or The Cove (which is combination restaurant/bar/ice house/carwash).
Also, the Alamo is literally right across the street from the River Walk - no reason not to visit both at the same time.

Response by poster: Only reason I'm not doing both is time. Have some training "homework" to do. Thanks for the suggestions so far!

Go to Paesano's (there's three) and eat "Shrimp Paesano" - absolutely the most memorable dish in my lifetime - ( of course, only if you like shrimp and Italian food...)
