Any good Corporate IT Management online communities?

I'm looking for an online discussion-board or community centred around IT Management, especially in a large corporate environment. I would like to read and contribute real life dilemmas and answers on topics such as business alignment, strategy, business analysis, requirements gathering.

Do any such sites exist because I just can't seem to find them! Also, any good resources on the above topics would be more than welcomed.

Basically, I work in a large corporate environment within an IT role which requires strong and effective interaction with the business units. I want to share best practice with others and also discuss trends in the industry with a view to maximising career opportunities

Best answer: My experience: once you get outside of technology specific discussions -- and I'm keying on your statement "business alignment, strategy, business analysis, requirements gathering" -- all of the communities are either organized around a vendor, a geography, or a vertical domain. The communities also all have a walled garden model, where you are either paying to participate, qualifying to participate (e.g. the qualification might be that you are at an IT Director level or more senior at a company with more than $100 million in revenues), or both. So it isn't surprising that you are having trouble finding them.

I've participated off and on over the years in communities organized by Gartner and the Corporate Executive Board. Your company will pay a lot of money for you to participate in those forums, but you'll be in good company. There are two IT groups/associations geared at the CIO level in my metro area that I participate in; I won't bother to link them because as near as I can tell, there is no national model, these things grow organically. And I participate in two national groups for IT executives in my vertical. Finally, when I meet people in these groups who seem to have the same problems I do (their organization is at about the same level of maturity as mine), I try to cultivate the relationship and stay in touch.

For me, it is a patchwork quilt of communities, and it is a lot of work to keep up with them all and stay plugged in. But, that is what I find works for me after trying a lot of other avenues. I'm going to favorite the thread and keep checking back -- I'm always hopeful I'll find something new.
