Find me some rhubarb pie TODAY

Where can I buy a rhubarb pie in NYC today? Queens or Manhattan preferred, but I'll take what I can get.

I already called the Little Pie Company, and they don't have it.

Best answer: Call your nearest Wholefoods and see if they have them. And can I come over and have some?

Best answer: I'm at the Union Square Greenmarket right now and didn't see any rhubarb pies. Treelicious (Un Sq West between 16th and 17th) and Just Rugelah (17th and Un Sq East) have other pies, though.

Best answer: A lot of farmers are also considering packing up early due to the windy conditions! Get there fast if you're planning on shopping today.

Best answer: Tradition says you don't harvest rhubarb after the 4th of July, as I have heard it. Tradition be damned, though, and I hope you find a great one. My rhubarb-- untouched by me since then-- is an unruly mass of stalks and leaves and would surely not be harmed by giving up a couple of pies.

Best answer: Trader Joes has nice rhubarb and strawberry pies - don't know if you are near one or not.

Response by poster: Thank you all. This was a Q asked for a friend looking to jump start her labor (and rhubarb does that? Yea, I don't know)- they went down to Union Square Farmer's Market, but rhubarb pies were sold out, so they got a peach pie instead. But now I know all the good spots :D
