HTC EVO Update Root

How do I root my HTC EVO phone, now that it is legal, when I have the first update.

Now that it is becoming legal I want to root my phone (HTC EVO). Problem, I installed the update that apparently makes all the rooting options I can find unusable. Am I missing a root option?

Just because it's legal, doesn't mean it won't void your warranty.

(You may not care, but I thought I'd point it out.)

I don't know if this is one of the futile methods you've tried, but I've heard nothing but good things about Unrevoked3.

Visit the root section of Android Forums. The new version of unrevoked looks promising.
