Inspire Me

Any inspiring speeches, short stories, or parables about the importance of friends, family, and health?

Strange question but I'm looking for a short inspiring written piece that touches on the value of friends, family, and health in life. (Separate stories for each of these would work as well.)

I'm thinking along the lines of commencement speeches, Ted speeches, or short stories.

O. Henry's "Gift of the Magi" is the first thing that pops into my head.

It's a Wonderful Life

Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

Remember, George: no man is a failure who has friends.
