Where to watch the fireworks in Seattle (besides Gasworks park)

Is there a good place in Seattle to watch the fireworks that isn't too crowded and would be ok to bring a dog? Preferably north of downtown?

Just a note, but bringing your dog to watch fireworks probably isn't a good idea. Unless of course, the point is to make sure he/she doesn't run off or to get far, far away from the sounds. It usually drives them insane.

That long skinny park along Alaskan Way?

Best answer: Not sure about the dog (but seems like Seattle parks are dog-friendly, for the most part) but I always loved going to the tiny little park underneath I-5, right across from the Northlake Pizza Tavern. You get some rain protection from the interstate, a great view of the parade of boats heading to Lake Union, and a good angle for the fireworks.

Agree with fiercekitten. Someone down the street from me is lighting off a bunch of fireworks right now and my cat is glommed in my lap -- very unusual for her, she only does it when she's terrified of something. Unless you know your pet will be okay with it, it's a MUCH better idea to leave them indoors. Especially if someone's there to watch over them and calm them down a little.

I used to know good Seattle places, but it's been so long all I can remember is 'that place with the stuff' and I doubt that would help you much...
