How much information can I get about Planet Money's toxic asset?
Today's planet money podcast makes a lot of references to the prospectus, and the blog post mentions this infographic that lists the security's holdings by county.
They even mention specific homes, so I'm wondering, just how much of that information is publicly available. I have two problems:
* I don't know the formal name of the security (I recall another podcast they mentioned the fed holds a related one)
* I don't know where to even find prospectuses for such things.
Can anyone help? Also note I don't have access to Bloomberg terminals if that's the goto place for such things.

Best answer: Here's the prospectus on the SEC website.
Here it is in pdf format. Note that the prospectus is for the entire bond issuance--Planet Money just bought the B-6 tranche.

Best answer: And here's the latest monthly servicer report, which has some loan-level detail. This is available through Bloomberg, but I don't know where else you'd get it.

Response by poster: Excellent! Interestingly, there's this page at the end of that servicer report that says in direct contradiction to the podcast, that none of the loans participating in HAMP. Not sure if this is just an artifact of legalese, or what.

HVMLT is the identifier for an issuer called Harborview Mortgage Loan Trust.
The CUSIP is: 41161PUA9
Bloomberg is the go-to resource that I know of.
