Disable stupid MS Word 2007 warning

Microsoft Word 2007: how do I disable this annoying privacy warning? Every time I save a file it pops up a window saying "Privacy Warning: This document contains macros, ActiveX controls, ...."
The file came from an older version of Word. I don't see any macros and the trick I saw on Google of saving in another Word file format didn't work.
Running under Windows XP.

Response by poster: Sorry pompomtom, that didn't work. I even restarted Word.

Best answer: What did work was saving in the new format while turning off compatibility with older versions of Word. I guess when I'm done working on it I can turn compatibility back on so that people at the office can edit it.

Go to 'Developer Ribbon'.
Click Macro Security.
Click 'Privacy Options'.
Uncheck all notifications.

A safer method should be to go to the windows button>word options>trust center>trust center settings>trusted locations and then pick a folder and set it to trusted.
Then save any trusted incoming file there, and open it as such. That way you're still protected from evil macros/vba but free to open individual files.

That didn't work either. And while I could turn off all macro security, I would rather use my workaround than take the risk that I or someone borrowing my computer might accidentally open an infected file.
I suspect a bug in Word. Bastards.
