Hot, dangerous… rock music?

Help me make a raunchy rock playlist!
My best friend is looking for a playlist populated by dark, sexy rock music. Something that brings to mind tearing off clothes and messy passion. My recommendations (R&B based) were rejected so I'm turning to you. She wants something along the lines of NIN's Closer or Kings of Leon's I Want You. Help? I'm boggled by my own library.

Perhaps "Dreaming of You" by The Coral, although it's got a little funk to it that might not be what you're looking for.

The very pinnacle of dark, raunchy rock music is the mighty group THE STRANGLERS, a proto-punk keyboard/bass/guitar combo from the late 70s that used to have the interesting habit of hiring strippers to perform at their shows. Most of these new young groups are just riffing on something The Stranglers did first and best. Their big hit - which you may recall from the opening scene of Sexy Beast - is the classic romp "Peaches." If that is not raunchy enough for you, you may wish to move on to their anthem "Bring On The Nubiles," with its sublime chant "LEMME - LEMME - FUCK YA - FUCK YA." Of course that's almost crude, right? - but they're really incredibly awesome on the unlikely tune "Nice N Sleazy," which has an interesting set of lyrics apparently about some sleazy Vikings, although I can't really say. And I always really liked "Duchess," a driven synthpop song which is sexy in its anthemic way. Finally, their brutal, growling rendition of Burt Bacharach's innocuous old sixties tune "Walk On By" is one of the best covers I know of anywhere, and not to be missed.

Also, Grinderman (that's Nick Cave's garage-type band where he plays guitar instead of piano) has a song which pretty much fits your bill entitled "No Pussy Blues" which is pretty much exactly what you'd imagine from the title. Nick has a number of low-down menacingly sexy tunes that might be what you're after - "Stagger Lee" from Murder Ballads is what springs to mind first, although the line between sexuality and violence is kinda blurred there. (Come to think of it, the fact that that song springs to mind probably says something somewhat unfortunate about what kind of a pervert I am myself. It's sexy as hell to me, anyway. Even if that last bit scares the shit out of me. Something about Nick Cave uttering the line "I'm a bad motherfucker don't ya know / I'd crawl over fifty good pussies just to get to one fat boy's asshole." Fuck.)

Pirate-Bartender-Zombie-Monkey aptly mentions Motorhead's "Sex & Death," and it's good to mention Motorhead since they're fucking awesome and quite appropriate, but I always though their tune "I'll Be Your Sister" from their masterwork album Overkill was the just about the sexiest song ever. That's how much of a man Lemmy is - he's so much man that he can be your sister or your mother. That's fucking awesome. (But of course every Motorhead song is awesome.)

I don't bother recommending the Cure often, but 'Let's Go To Bed' seems like a natural inclusion here.
Yeah, when I was more into industrial/goth (junior high), I thought NIN's cover of 'Physical' was the sexiest thing I had ever heard. It's hard and raw. 'Closer' is fine, but 'Physical' is IT. 'Get Down Make Love' is pretty good there, too. Actually, I would consider all of geek anachronism's suggestions.
Jeff Buckley - Your Flesh Is So Nice
My Bloody Valentine's 'Soft As Snow (But Warm Inside)' still makes me melt.
The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored
Gang Of Four - I Love A Man In A Uniform
If you're looking for kind of sexy but kind of laughable, I have two suggestions: 'Gett Off' by Prince and 'She's Tight' by Cheap Trick.
