What can tasty things can be made with malted milk powder?

Aside from the obvious, that is. In desserts? baked goods? On vegetables? popcorn? Any suggestions welcomed.

I've used it to make a malt buttercream frosting for brownies. Just use the basic recipe of softened butter, confectioner's sugar, a little milk, vanilla extract...and add malt powder.

I once had a yummy malted milk cookie recipe (it may have been this) - it seems malted milk powder can often be used in place of cocoa powder for baking recipes - you just wind up with a malted milk cake/cookie/bar/etc instead of a chocolate cake/cookie/etc.

Just eat it by the spoonful.

I have a problem with malt powder...

David Lebovitz's malted milk ice cream recipe is pretty much the best thing ever. Recipe here. It's totally worth buying an ice cream maker for, as are several of the other recipes in his book.

Dang, I was going to mention that ice cream recipe, too.

In case you don't want to do that, make a batch of ice cream (or buy it, if you're a loser) and then make some malts: ice cream, malt powder, and milk, whipped up in a blender or malt machine. Mmmmm!

Peanut Butter Balls, one of my favorite childhood treats. For extra crunchiness, roll them in Rice Krispies or Corn Flakes.

A little sugar and a drop of vanilla are standard additions in malted milk. I've tried the same mix with creamy yogurt in place of milk or ice cream. The sourness of the yogurt gives interesting results.
