In search of a cleft-footed Giant

Baseball Trivia Filter (really, really trivial): A couple weeks ago, during the LA broadcast of the Dodgers-Giants game, Vin Scully mentioned that one of the Giants' players ran very well considering that he had been born with a cleft-foot. My Google-Fu has failed me. Can anyone tell me who this cleft-footed athlete is?

Freddy Sanchez, probably. He's got a club foot which Vin might have mixed up with cleft lip.

Yeah, club foot, and it was Sanchez, I was listening to that game. But I believe he did say "cleft".

He does that sometimes. He's old. Still the best voice in baseball, though.

Not the guy you're looking for, but Jim Mecir was also born with club feet.
