What is the best way to identify a font (from an image, or screenshot)

Identifont barfed on it because of the green lines in the background. If you take them out, it'd have no problem identifying it as Bank Gothic.

I think Identifont is a huge waste of time. What The Font is surprisingly good given the proper source file. If I'm really stumped I defer to the experts at typophile. What The Font also has a forum where people can answer your questions.
