I want to send someone a singing telegram, but they're too expensive. What's a gift that is equally as corny that I can have delivered to a hotel conference room in Orlando?

If you're familiar with colleges or high schools in the area, you might try calling their Music Departments. I'll bet a music student would be happy to deliver a singing telegram for under $50.

You can't throw a rock at Craigslist without hitting an out-of-work singer/actor who would love to do that for twenty bucks. It would probably bounce off a few others on the way, too.

My parents' friends were just telling me on the weekend how they got their son's HR person to coordinate a very corny cake being delivered to him at work, complete with most of the staff singing to him and ending with a "love mommy and daddy".

I don't know your specific situation, but would something like this work?

Balloon boquet? I don't know anything about this business, I just typed balloon boquet and Orlando, FL into google. Looks like there are lots of places that do the same sort of thing.

Does the hotel have a gift shop? If so you could call and see if they can help you or just call the front desk and see if they have any ideas Isn't that one of the things a concierge might do? Also, I think there are places that deliver teddy bears.

You are in luck! Tajtunes does hilarious, live, kind of weird singing telegrams. Outsourcing sometimes is awesome.

(By "live" I mean "on the phone.")

Order a pizza. Ask them on the phone to spell something out with pepperoni or whatever -- give 'em a big tip.
