Alternative to Wii Fit running minigame?

I really enjoy running to Wii Fit's Run courses on the TV, while I run on the treadmill. Are there any other games (on Wii or other platforms) that offer a similar running experience?

I really enjoy running to Wii Fit's Run courses on the TV, while I run on the treadmill. I like having the runner Mii or the dog Mii running ahead of me and providing encouragement, and I like the changing scenery. Both of these elements help keep me motivated on the treadmill, when running outside is not an option. (And it often isn't for me, due to time-of-day and weather.)

But, I'm frustrated with how long it takes to set up the Wii Fit running mini-game and that I have to drag the balance board out (that I'm not using for the run game) to get through the initial start-up of the Wii Fit game. Also, I'm getting tired of the same animations.

Are there any other games (on Wii or other platforms) that offer a similar running experience? Or, are there videos or other mediums I should look into?

Out now for the Wii is Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2009, which features jogging as one of the activities you can do. I've not played it so I can't say if it's any good.

Also on Wii, coming soon is EA Sports Active: Personal Trainer, which I've heard will also feature a jogging exercise.

Not Wii, but these are 'virtual' running DVDs.

Response by poster: DVDs may be an option, although I'd prefer something interactive, like what the Wii offers.

The Jillian Michaels game didn't impress me. It's almost harder to get into and set up than the Wii Fit, and the characters aren't as cute. :) Maybe the Personal Trainer game will be good? I can hope, I guess.
