Awkward...

In my Gmail sidebar contacts list, a contact shows up with a greyed-out "Invited" next to their name. Does this mean that I have invited them to chat, or that they have invited me to chat? I still have the "invite to chat" option available, and I can't remember if I did send a chat invite. Thanks in advance, hivemind.

I think it means you sent them an invitation to join Gmail.

The Gmail contacts list gets a little buggy at times.

I had someone I e-mailed just once or twice, maybe three years ago, show up late last night with the same greyed-out "Invited." I know I didn't send her an invitation. And I really doubt she sent one to me.

Usually, when this happens, I leave it be, and it disappears within a few days.

Response by poster: Yeah, SpringAquifer, this might well be a bug. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've hardly been able to get to gmail at all today, so maybe there's just some funkiness going on?
