Help me remember this foreign game!

Does anyone know the game "kawanoo" or "Quano" (sp)? It is a complicated rock paper scissor type game that uses hand gestures along with words (african)?
I cannot remember the rules in there entirety but it was like rock paper scissors...sort of. One player would say a word and match it with its proper hand signal. The other player had to match it at the same time to win and then that person could choose the next word/gesture.
It was a very fast paced game, ending in a matter of seconds as well as complicated due to the foreignness and complexity of the words.
Anyone know the game and the rules?
