Miracle Fruit for sale in Toronto?
Hello, I'm searching for Miracle Fruit for sale in either fresh berry form or tab form in Toronto, Ontario.
I'm certain that it can be found in this town - probably in Chinatown - but am having trouble explaining it to the stores I've called. (I blame my poor Mandarin.)
Hivemind, save me from mail order and make my weekend plans a reality.
(Actual store locations only please, no mail order sites.)

I've never been able to find them sold in stores in Toronto, but they may be out there, somewhere. Maybe someone's got a plant and can spare a few berries? My own plant isn't fruiting yet, but check back with me in a few years and I'll be happy to supply some.

I have asked up and down Chinatown grocery stores for miracle fruit, to no avail. I thought maybe there was a secret code and my non-Chinese awkwardness didn't have it. Worth maybe posting this to Chowhound, as this thread is now a few months old. Please update if you do find some.

I just hosted a Miracle Fruit tinged Oscar Party last weekend. We used the tablets from ThinkGeek but I hear that others are more potent. Try this website. The berries are very perishable and don't travel well at all, which means that you rarely find them outside of Western Africa and the few other places they are grown, like Florida.

Oh, nevermind. You want to avoid mail order. Sorry, but good luck!

The fruit itself is West African, so I'm not sure I'd expect to see it in Chinatown. I hope I'm wrong, though, it would be awesome to try. Let us know if you find it!
