Friends episodes in Spanish?
Hi folks - where can I find Friends episodes in Spanish? My friend is looking for them as a christmas present, so they can't be all, erm, downloaded and stuff. :)
A box set of several episodes under £25 would be good. I assume she will pay to have them shipped from wherever, although it may be getting a little bit tight for Christmas Delivery but oh well.
English subtitles would be good but not essential.
Bonus question - any good Christmas Carols in Spanish collections you would care to recommend?

According to wikipedia there were at least two Spanish dubs. That link leads to this. I think it's the Spain dub but I'm not positive. If you click on a season link (temporada) and then on "comprala ya" you'll get a popup listing four places you can buy it online. I didn't check if those work - hope they do!

They're dubbed on the air in Mexico (Latin American Spanish, of course) and honestly, that's the only way I can stand watching them. Freaking hilarious. I've seen DVDs of them kicking around in markets and stores, but in Mexico almost everything's a pirate copy so I can't be sure there are legitimate ones for sale.

Best answer: The Spanish Friends DVD site )lists places to buy Friends with the Spanish dubs (on preview, as linked to by trig). Unfortunately, most of these sites seem to be a touch on the broken side, or longer carry Friends. moviedistribución does, however! Entire seasons seem to be around €40, but if you go to the second page then there are some best of DVDs for €15. There may be better options, but that's something, at least.

Best answer: Many of the German editions of "Friends" contain three soundtracks: the original English, German and Spanish. There also are subtitles in these three languages. For example, see seasons one (mono, though, and no Spanish subtitles, but English ones), two, five, six (or six) and seven (or seven).

Um, forgot to mention that all my links go to the German Amazon.de site.

Heh. Having noticed that the editions sold at moviesdistribución also contained German soundtracks, I too peeked at amazon.de to see whether they had the Spanish dubs. Somehow, I managed to only sample the the few that didn't! Amazon.de is probably a much better route; it's cheaper, and the shipping prices are published (amazon.de has help pages in English here; moviesdistribución asks that you contact them for international orders).

Response by poster: Yup, looking like amazon.de is best.. and there i'd went and composed an email in my elementary Spanish!
