Beyond Goodreads.com?

What are your favorite places to read about and talk about books online? Bibliophile hearts Goodreads.com but seeks a world beyond... Are there any online book clubs that are good (my searches return a lot of results, but I can't tell at a glance what's worth exploring)? What are the book review blogs of record?

Some book review blogs I like:

Bookslut
Bookgasm
Lit Mob

I'm at work, so I don't have time to link. This should be a good start.

You might want to try the groups at www.librarything.com -- which is also a lovely tool for keeping track of your library...

Shelfari isn't bad.

The Old Hag is quite good. (Disclosure: Lizzie S., the decidedly NOT "old hag" behind The Old Hag, is my wife's cousin.)

The New Yorker's Book Bench blog is pretty good. Readerville has forums that I get sucked into reading every once in a while, and there's also a Twitter-like fuction called Note: Books that lets you see little reviews from other people about what they're reading.

Check out this old thread of mine for suggestions on book-related sites. I also have a book blog myself (link in profile), though I post rather, um, sporadically;-)

My favorite literary blogs, I also like Goodreads and Shelfari, but haven't found an online community that suits all my needs yet.
