The best looking bag, if not body, at the gym.

Please point me to a stylish gym bag. The key word is *stylish.*

My current, perfectly functional ugly ass Lands End bag contains:

shorts, shirt, socks, headband, windbreaker, flip flops, ugly ass Lands End toiletry bag, iPod Nanotm, combination lock, water bottle, and 2 Clif Shot Blokstm

Thank you.

Response by poster: Assume any price range. Timbuk 2 used to make a really cool one but I couldn't see spending $120 at the time. Would also consider the right military or industrial surplus bag, but only if it looked *cool.*

Nike has been making more stylish bags.
Also, take a look at Zappos.com. They have a very wide selection.

i think the most stylish gym bags are the stella mccartney for adidas but the current range is a bit girly, maybe even for me. ebay's got bags from previous collections that are quite nice and not so obviously from a women's line if that matters to you.

the sleekest gym bag i've seen recently is puma's v5.06 medium bag, a steal for $30. i also quite like their fitness workout bag, big cat sports bag, and duffle bag but the latter doesn't have a dedicated shoe pocket.

trkfld has some sweet bags (haven't used them personally, though). some seem gym-friendly while others don't. they are pretty fashionable in my book!

The Levenger Barnstormer.

(I'd sooner die than spend that much on a duffel bag, but it does look nice.)

Or if you want something more talking-point-y there's a whole site for bags made out of seatbelts...

I'm pretty sure this is the one I have, from Fossil. It holds a lot, and is good for the gym and a weekend away. And even though it's not tricked out with pockets and such I get compliments on it in the locker room.

I love the ones at Physhion but they are quite expensive. This Nike one is pretty nice as well.

I think my Under Armour bag is pretty cool looking. Mine's black.

Maybe a bit big for a gym bag, but I like the Oakley 8 Gallon Tank.

If you go for a vintage (as opposed to retro) bag, don't make my mistake: I recently got a nice old Adidas gym bag, and got a week of love out of it before the old vinyl handles busted off. Turns out old vinyl is real stretchy. Frick.

I would go in one of those Asian, Eastern or Moroccan emporiums.
I would buy one of those leather bags with fake old brass latches.
I would take it home and butter it generously with mink oil or dubbin for 2 or 3 weeks.
Then it would look at the same time brand new and so old that your great-great-grandfather brought it back from the first Afghan war in the 1860's (I didn't check but I am quite sure there was one).

Or you can use a plastic bag from the grocery.

Style is not a look, it's what makes you feel good.
If you feel like you are the king of the world, and you are just cool about it and kind to people around you, you can put your stuff in a brown paper bag and the next day 10 people will come to the gym with a brown paper bag smiling at you knowingly.

Lululemon has pretty neat gym bags, if there's one near your neighborhood, they don't have online ordering (I think?). Plenty show up on eBay though. their stuff isn't cheap but it's extremely well made and should last a long time.

also, American Apparel has a lot of simple & not expensive bags, like the neon denim ones are pretty stylin, or a plain nylon bag, I like the white one myself, classic.
