Where to buy cheap, but quality, mid-century design furnitures? Eames LCW $500 budget.

I'm a big fan of mid-century furnitures and have been wanting to buy a pair of Eames lounge chair wood for a long time but cannot afford from Herman Miller. Anyone know where I can get one for $500 max?

I have two RSS feeds set-up for my local craigslist. The feeds are based on two searches. One is "mid century" (it picks up any listings that are hyphenated), the other is "eames". I check them frequently, about 3-4 times a day. I have scored royally many times. The trick is to get the post as soon as it is on, and when you see it email and get over ASAP to buy it.

People unload great stuff on craigslist all the time, you need to be there when they do, as they'll pull the post down as soon as it's sold. I move quickly, so that some purchases I've made on the mid-century stuff has only been on craigslist for two hours. Some of my recent scores are plycraft eames style black leather lounger for $200 and lane coffee boomerang table in perfect condition for $50 (my local vintage shop had the same table for $550).

It takes a lot of patience to wait and also see lots of junk...but I have seen those chairs on craigslist for the price you're looking for. They are not on for long and don't come up very often.

There's some on the right now for $240/each, it's an older post, but it's from a business. I don't know where you're located though...
