Does Blackwater Owner Own Assassin Gun Collection?

I'm trying to track down something I read a while ago: that Erik Prince, the owner of Blackwater, has a gun collection in his home's foyer that is made up of replicas of guns used to assassinate presidents.

If I google it, I get my own post about it, but I know I didn't just make this up. In my imagination I read it on salon.com, but didn't find it there. It was an article similar to something that would be in Vanity Fair magazine--a reporter's personal experience of visiting his home.

Why would anyone want such a display?

Why would anyone want such a display?

Because one of the things his company does is provide personal protection / bodyguards?

And yet, the display demonstrates the futility of such protection.

Since every presidential assassination occurred prior to the advent of sophisticated security systems and protective services such as Blackwater provides, it's hard to see how a display of previous failures demonstrates the futility of present, better methods.

In any endeavor, it's not a bad idea to maintain constant reminders of your motivation, and what can happen if you get sloppy or complacent.

I once visited a maximum security prison. In the administrative area outside the warden's office was a huge display case containing shanks, shivs, daggers, knives, zip guns, and replica firearms confiscated from inmates.

Why would anyone want such a display?
