Ain't there nothing I can take, I say, to relieve this flipper ache

CoconutFilter: Spring/Summer has finally hit Boston. I was at Whole Foods yesterday and was enticed by the freshly cut .45 lb. coconut in a little plastic container. It was white and glistening and tropical, so I bought it. I don't know what to do with it.
Can you suggest any recipes or ideas what to do with it? I'm not very experienced with coconut other than in flake-form, so any and all coconut-related suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks.

If this is one of those little plastic tubs of cut up coconut, I'm going to have to second jmnugent's suggestion 1. Really--just eat it. That's pretty much why they sell it that way.

Totally snackable as is, or with a squeeze of lime.

Agreed - just eat it as is. You can flake it onto ice cream with some chocolate syrup, or make ice cream out of it if you have an ice cream maker.

grate it (or blend) with some suger milk and or cream. Then strain off the chuncks for real coconut milk. Add real pineapple, ice and rum then blend it. Nothing beats a real pina colada.

1) Smash it to pieces.
2) Eat the pieces.
Simple as that.

2.) run it through a fine grater and use it in recipes that call for coconut?
