Do you recall information about food recalls?

I'm looking for relatively recent data on food recalls - anybody have a good source?

One would think this would be a pretty easy thing to find on the internets -- but my Google-Fu is failing me.

Does anyone know a good source for data (preferably in the last few years) on how often food recalls happen, their health and financial impact, and ideally some case studies on how businesses have handled.

Thanks for your help!

Best answer: The USDA Food Safety and Inspective Services has alerts and a recall archive about recent recalls involving meat, poultry, and egg products; all other food recalls are tracked by the FDA. Recalls.gov has a food section, as does the Federal Citizen Information Center.

Best answer: The FDA has a recall archive as well, dating back to 1999.
