Brooklyn urgent: I'm at Peter Luger and they lost my 3 week old reservation. If i decide not to wait for 1 hour, where do i go for a good eat around here?

It's friday night. Any place you go without a reservation will take an hour, between travel time and waiting to be seated. Wait at Peter Luger. It's worth the hour.

Even if they do cut the steak before they serve it to you. Grumble. Grumble.

I can't speak for either of these personally - and I would probably wait, myself - but Yelp suggests Dressler at 149 Broadway, or A'shay at 229 South 4th Street. Both very close.

Wait at Luger. Dressler's is supposed to be nice though, it's the upscale Dumont.

There have been times I've been to Luger where they had my reservation in the books and I waited close to an hour anyway. It's just that kinda place.

Response by poster: after 20 minutes a table fell from the sky and we were seated. And all of you were right: half an hour, one hour, totally worth it. Thanks guys!

Are you posting from the dinner table? Stop that! It's rude!
