Does anyone remember a movie from about the 1950s (not sure, but it was black and white) that was an Indiana Jones type adventure film (but of course it was made before the Indy movies) with the following final scene:
The hero and heroine are escaping with the treasure in a hot air balloon...[MI]
They have to continually throw bags of treasure out of the balloon in order to get enough lift to escape. Finally, the girl gives up a giant diamond concealed in her mouth.
Any clues?

Response by poster: Unfortunately your first link isn't working for me, and the second link doesn't seem to have enough info for me to know for sure, but I'm going to scan for more info in your google page.
Thanks for the effort!

Response by poster: Okay, I'm pretty sure that isn't it. I remember the film being in black and white, and this one seems to be colour.

Oh well, just a guess.
And, I see the TVGUIDE link doesn't work from here, but it does work from the Google search. How Odd.

Best answer: It's because while making the link, he put in an extra ". Here is a fixed link for the lazy to click on.

I gotta say that Flight of the Lost Balloon really seems like a match, albeit in color, given your description. The TV guide piece even references Indiana Jones. By chance did you see it on a B&W television? Perhaps these posters will help jog your memory.

Response by poster: Okay, that TV guide article is making me think it might be the right one. I think samuelad may be right, it may have been the old b&w in the basement. I might not know until I see it.
No other suggestions? That might be the best indicator that this is the right one.
