Looking for music recommendations similar to Lily Allen, Kate Nash and Anna Nalick
Response by poster: I've tried using Pandora in the past and found it rather frustrating. The lack of basic controls like skip and replay are annoying. The first artist it pulled up for Kate Nash was Jimmy Eat World...I don't think they're that similar :/
But thank you :)

Emma Pollock, formerly of The Delgados, may be what you're looking for.
Videos: Acid Test; Adrenaline; Paper and Glue.

Aha. May I present Alex Sheppard. I met her at a party a month ago and she did an impromptu performance. Awesome-cakes.

You could try Holly Brook. I especially like her song 'Saturdays', which you can listen to on her myspace page.

It strikes me that Anna Nalick is quite different from Kate Nash and Lily Allen. Is there anything in particular about the sound that you're looking for? That said, another vote for Feist and Nellie McKay. Also, Sia, Sara Bareilles, Annie Stela, and A Fine Frenzy.

I agree with Holly Brook, but I like 'Heavy'.
I've recently been digging The Weepies.
KT Tunstall, if you don't already have her CD, is along these lines.
Others you might try: Mazzy Star, Frou Frou, Heather Nova, Lisa Loeb, Jem, Megan Slankard, Norah Jones, Poe, Merril Bainbridge, Shivaree.
Mindy Smith / The Wreckers and Michelle Branch are a little more country, but I like them too. I suppose you could toss Shannon McNally, Patty Larkin, and Paula Cole in with that crowd too.

If you're in the USA, you might not have heard much of Sleeper, one of the definitive Britpop bands of the 90s. I think you'll love Louise Wener's British-accented vocals and witty lyrics. Here's What Do I Do Now?, one of their biggest hits.

More solo female artists in a similar vein: Rachel Yamagata and Gemma Hayes.

The Bird and the Bee's "Again & Again" reminded me of Lily Allen.

Forgot to add, since it seems I'm always recommending her, Esthero has some tracks that have some of that Lily Allen vibe. Check out That Girl or Wikked Lil Girls (sorry for the crappy homemade video on the second one).

Maybe Rilo Kiley or Jenny Lewis in general (she's the lead singer for Rilo Kiley).
