Where can I find a nice white shirt and skirt in this xmas time mess?
I have a sudden need for a white shirt and a long white skirt by this Thursday. I'm currently in Chicago, IL, and will soon be in Philadelphia, PA. I am going to check goodwills and such, but I was wondering if the hive mind knew of any definite place. I have enough money to spend $40 on the outfit, but less would be preferred.

I think Old Navy is pretty affordable.

If you don't mind wearing a man's shirt, you can get plain white men's dress shirts (or polos) anywhere. KMart or Target would probably be the cheapest.
A lot of stores will have their New Year's Eve dresses and skirts out after Christmas. I know I've seen white items before, but they are usually all spangly and fancy-like. If you go out shopping on the 26th, you may find something at ridiculously cheap after-Christmas sale prices. Try Kohl's.
