Excel copy cell CRASH. (why?)

Excel for Mac freezes on copy (command-c)! Help.

Earlier today I had my PowerBook G4 hooked up to a bigger monitor. Later, when working in Excel I tried to make a chart, when I did so the chart wizard window appeared off screen. Not being able to resolve this issue, and not being able to get Excel to let me quit, I killed it. Upon restart everything seems to work fine but if I try to copy a cell I get the whirly beach ball of death EVERY SINGLE TIME. Behavior is consistant over multiple restarts of both Excel and the Powerbook. Any ideas? I really need Excel to work.

Best answer: Well, just in case anyone finds this question in their later searching, the fix was to delete the .plist files associated with Excel. Not sure why or how it fixed it, but it did.
