Can you help us find a cabin next July in VT or NH?

Can you recommend a summer cabin in VT or NH for next July that could accomodate four adults and their five kids?

We're two families, totaling four adults and five kids, including one toddler. We'd like to find something Montpelier-ish or south in VT, or within an hour of Concord in NH. But we'd go for something elsewhere in those states if it's a lovely situation. (We've enjoyed Burlington before, from a motel room.)

We'd like to keep the kids busy, so a swimmable lake or stream would be a plus, or other things that would interest kids 3-10.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Or anywhere on Lake George, really, although I'd avoid Lake George Village (which is very "touristy").

Best answer: We have a house in Maine that we list on cyberrentals, which (as you might guess from the goofy name) has been around for a long time. It has a lot of listings from all over the world, and once you drill down to the region you're interested in you can narrow the results by number of bedrooms, amenities, etc. These are all listings by owner, but you could also try looking for the website of a real estate agent in the area who specializes in vacation rentals. In these cases, it's likely that the owner pays the realtor fee.

Here's their Vermont page: http://www.cyberrentals.com/USA/Vermont/r405.htm

Best answer: Most of the Lakes region of NH is within an hour of Concord. Try http://www.vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner) to look for a property. You can sort by number of bedrooms, location, etc.
