Audio Avoidance

Anybody, by chance, know how to get a Mitsubishi CS 35313 (1995) tv to play the audio through the internal speakers again?

Make: Mitsubishi
Model: CS 35313
Year: 1995

My mom just got this tv and it was setup to play through the previous owner's entertainment system.

She has gone through all the options she can find.

I have looked everywhere online that I can think of for a manual or some sort of instruction.

i have a tv of similar vintage and theres an actual switch on the back to disable the built-in speakers. otherwise it would have to be within the sound options in the menu... somewhere.

This seems like the answer, from sci.electronics.repair:
the audio outputs are set to "variable" out instead of "fixed", so the volume
changes with the tv's volume setting; turning off the sets internal speakers
and maxing the volume will acheive a standard 1 volt output
So, there is a fixed/variable control, either in the menu system, or a physical switch somewhere.

Here is the start of the CS 35313 Audio Problem thread. The message linked above has broken the threading for whatever reason..

Also, if anybody can figure out the chassis number for that model, there is a chance I might be able to dig up a service manual.
