I'm not in San Francisco. I'm in Kansas, but I've seen passion fruit in the grocery stores in the bigger towns around here. Surely if you're living in a major metropolis like San Fran, your local grocers have passion fruit. Have you called around to ask?

I'd try the farmer's market at the Ferry Building. It's this morning.

If you're in downtown SF, one of the Whole Foods Market locations might be an option (the one on 4th is not far from the Metreon).

I recently saw some at Bristol Farms in the Westfield San Francisco Shoping Center, 865 Market St. I've never seen passion fruit at any of the local farmers' markets, which I would otherwise recommend.

It's not in San Francisco, but try the Berkeley Bowl. They have the best produce selection I've seen at a Bay Area supermarket. If anyone around here has passionfruit, it's the Berkeley Bowl.

I've seen passionfruit on sale at Whole Foods and Rainbow Grocery, but I've been to both stores in the last week and didn't see them. I also haven't seen them at the farmers' market, like, ever.
